For the R&D department of Siemens Advanta Development we are looking for a new colleague for the internal IT team. Your main responsibility would be global (Siemens) and project networks. Objective of role • build, setup or improve development infrastructure • ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats • understand the needs of developers and align with key stakeholders • work on automation and improve release processes • identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes • working with software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended • planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions

What will be your responsibilities?

provide L2 technical support for CI/CD and networking related issues
investigate and resolve technical issues and perform root cause analysis for production errors
design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

automate routine tasks

What should you possess?

experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering/networking role
proficient with networking, linux, git and CI/CD pipelines
knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Ruby, Python)
organisational and time management skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
problem-solving attitude

collaborative team spirit
good attention to detail
experience with software engineering in R&D organizaton - nice to have
experience developing applications for a large corporation - nice to have
