Linux System Engineer

We would like to invite you to cooperate on the development of industrial automation products. We focus on complete product development and integration across the entire automation system. Currently we search for a new colleague who will be responsible for building and maintaining custom Linux Distributions for customized products, especially HMI panels and IOT gateways.

What will be your responsibilities?

configuration and compilation of the Linux kernel
package management and updates
creating new Linux layers/classes/recipes
working with development teams to fix bugs or validate technical solutions

maintaining and improving existing and legacy scripts based on new requirements or new bugs
collaborating with other colleagues from different areas of development - hardware, mechanics, project management, production
collaboration on DevOps activities (CI/CD, Test Automation)

What should you possess?

knowledge of Bash and possibly Python scripting language
experience with creating, managing and optimizing partitions (dd, fdisk, parted, kpartx, ...)
experience with network configuration, remote access (SSH) and certificate management
experience with compilers (gcc, clang)

experience with bootloaders - unit scripts, SystemV, eventually Systemd - advantage
good knowledge of English
desire to learn and develop your knowledge
the position is suitable for graduates
