FW developer - HMI (f/m/d)

At our Siemens Foundational Technologies Development Center we are focused on a product development including software development, hardware development, mechanical design, and testing for the next generation concept of Industry 4.0. We are offering cooperation on the extension and porting of HMI module of a modular industrial automation platform for field devices used in gas analytics. This project emphasizes standardized approaches and support of multiple device types. You will work alongside international teams developing the platform as well as the end devices.

What will be your responsibilities?

Porting and extending firmware components, focusing on robust embedded C++ development within existing architecture.
Creating a new HAL for an STM32H7 MCU.
Extending existing FW functionality for a new display size and content layout.

Participate in gathering requirements from multiple projects developing end devices using the HMI module.
Supporting continuous integration efforts by integrating your code into automated build, test, and release pipelines.

What should you possess?

Experience in embedded firmware development using C/C++.
Familiarity with STM32 MCUs and embedded applications with graphical display.
Experience with any RTOS, especially embOS.

Practical knowledge of debugging techniques (e.g., using logic analyzers), interfacing with hardware peripheries
Experience with continuous integration practices and exposure to automated build configurations and testing methodologies.
