Radiation resistance measurements are an essential part of development, especially with systems working on a 24/7 basis.
Our customers rely on SIMATIC automation products deployed, for instance, in critical applications with continuous 24/7 operations. That is why our products must be robust and meet top quality requirements. In addition to development tests (standard-based testing), we also perform radiation resistance tests of hardware and software. These measurements are carried out in a particle accelerator in the Nuclear Research Institute. We expose our device to radiation for several tens of minutes. This radiation corresponds to several hundred to thousands of years of natural radiation on the Earth's surface.
