Test Automation Engineer (f/m/d)
At our Siemens Foundational Technologies Development Center we are focused on a product development including software development, hardware development, mechanical design, and testing for the next generation concept of Industry 4.0. We're seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team working on the next generation of SIMATIC ET 200 family - our industry-leading decentralized I/O systems. What will be your responsibilities?
- Perform integration, system, performance, and certification testing
- Develop and maintain reliable test infrastructure and test setups
- Analyze and report test results effectively
- Creating, maintaining and adhering to testing documentation
- Designing, realizing and maintaining test automation
- Stay current with emerging testing technologies
- Implement innovative testing approaches
- Leverage AI-powered tools to maximize testing efficiency
- Manage work independently and efficiently
- Document and share technical expertise
- Contribute to team knowledge base and best practices
What should you possess?
- Experience as a Test Automation Engineer
- Experience with industrial automation systems
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, …)
- Experience with TIA Portal or similar automation tools
- Working knowledge of Python or equivalent programming languages
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
- Basic understanding of CI/CD practices
- Electrical engineering background (per Section 6 of Act No. 250/2021 Coll. and Government Order No. 194/2022)
- Good English communication skills
- Team-oriented approach
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
